Jobseekers are reaping the rewards of a successful local partnership by realising their potential and securing employment.

The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service partnership between Rockingham Peel Group and Forrest Personnel was launched in Rockingham earlier this year and offers assistance to people who live with mental health issues to realise their employment goals.

Co-Director Mental Health Service Anthony Collier explained that the link between the mental health service and specialist employment service is now beginning to successfully place jobseekers into meaningful work.

“It is encouraging to see this partnership come to fruition with support from our community,” said Anthony.

IPS Employment Specialist Bridie Ferrari cited the experience of Melissa, who recently joined the team at Jungle Zone Indoor Children's Play Centre in Port Kennedy.

“Melissa enjoys the fun atmosphere and the responsibility of her new-found role,” Bridie said.

“It is encouraging to witness the success of our clients gaining work and building skills to foster their independence.”
