Busselton Health Campus' new ED has opened and the old hospital ED has closed.
Busselton Health Campus' new emergency department has opened with the ED at the old hospital closing for the final time.
The new ED opened at 7am this morning with visiting hours on its first day restricted to after 2pm.
A new television commercial advertising the opening of the Busselton Health Campus is also airing on WIN and GWN from tomorrow.
The 30 second commercial shows the completed Busselton Health Campus' new facilities, highlighting that the hospital is now open to the public and receiving patients.
Also opening today are the hospital’s medical imaging, inpatients and maternity units as well as the hospice.
On Wednesday 22 April the renal dialysis unit, surgical services and outpatient clinics will open followed by the community mental health unit on Friday 24 April.
The new Busselton Health Campus is part of the State Government’s Bigger Picture Health $7 billion hospital building and refurbishment program.
